The new Advanced Notifications suite in CiiRUS allows users and vendors to receive alerts for various system actions and events. Follow this guide to configure which notifications should be sent to each user, and how they should be delivered (email, SMS, and/or browser push alert).
Enable Staff Notifications
Enable notifications for yourself or specific users inside the Settings Assistant. To begin, navigate to:
- Global Settings
- Settings Assistant
- Account Setup
- System Users & Permissions


Select the ellipses icon next to the user whose notifications will be configured, then select "Notifications"


Staff notifications are divided into four categories...
- Bookkeeping & Finance
- Operations Field Manager
- Owner Liaison
- Reservationist
... and three delivery methods:
- Push Notification
- SMS (text message)
Select whether a given notification should be sent to a user by one, two, or all three delivery methods by using the checkboxes:
Use the checkboxes on the gray category rows to enable all notifications for a given category:
Once satisfied with the selections, press the blue "OK" button to save and close the menu. Notifications will now be delivered for the selected events using the given delivery methods.
Note: there may be redundant notifications sent by the legacy notifications system. These will be turned off once the majority of users have migrated to the Advanced Notifications module.
Enable Vendor & Task Notifications
Notifications can also be configured to send to vendors & contacts responsible for housekeeping, maintenance, & inspections, relating specifically to those property care tasks.
To configure these notifications, navigate to:
- Global Settings
- Settings Assistant
- Operations Setup
- Contacts & Vendors


Select the notification bell icon to the left of the contact/vendor whose notifications will be configured

Use the individual checkboxes and/or the heading row group checkboxes to enable which notifications will be sent to the selected user. This works the same way as described above for the staff user notifications.
Once satisfied with the selections, press the blue "OK" button to save and close the menu. Notifications will now be delivered for the selected events using the given delivery methods.
Email Delivery Settings
In order for email notifications to be sent, the CiiRUS account's SMTP server settings or MailChimp Transaction Email integration (preferred) should be properly configured.
To check that outbound email delivery settings are properly configured, navigate to:
- Global Settings
- Settings Assistant
- Account Setup
- Outbound Email Settings


Ensure that the system is set to either 'Use your own SMTP Server' or 'Use Mailchimp Transactional Email'
