To connect an external third-party website to CiiRUS, there are two options:

  1. Create a White Label website hosted on CiiRUS and link it to the current website
  2. Connect via an API Feed

What is a White Label?

A white label is essentially the booking pages on the site (Property Search, Property Details, and the Booking Page). These pages are built using the CiiRUS System and are therefore hosted by CiiRUS. This means if a guest were to book a property, the booking would automatically land in CiiRUS and block out the availability calendar in real-time. The booking can then be managed in the system, keeping everything central in CiiRUS, and there is no room for manual work or for double-bookings.

The white label is built by the CiiRUS Web Development Team using a generic template and can be branded to the Property Manager's business.

The Property Manager will need to purchase a sub-domain to point to the CiiRUS server. (For example, bookings.abcmanagement.com)

This domain can then be linked to the third-party website. The guest will click this link and will be redirected to the CiiRUS Booking Engine.

Please contact the Website Team for more information.

What is an API?

In computer programming, an Application Programming Interface (API) is a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications. An API expresses a software component in terms of its operations, inputs, outputs, and underlying types.

For CiiRUS, an API is a way of connecting the system to other systems through a standard of data transfer.

For example, CiiRUS can pass homes, descriptions, rates, extras and quotes to third-party networks that have authorized access to the API.

In order to use an API, a skilled API developer would be needed in order to program and leverage the software framework. This can often be costly as a good programmer can be expensive to hire. After signing an NDA and RFI, CiiRUS will release the API documentation to the Property Manager to use. Please be aware, CiiRUS does not offer support for using the API.
