Some search engines read the information in meta-titles and use this information to help determine how the page will be indexed. Many factors may affect the way a search engine ranks a page, and meta tags are one of the most important factors. Some say that Google compares the meta titles to the rest of the content on the web page. It is good practice to keep your meta titles up to date.

Meta titles can be added/edited in three places in CiiRUS:

Standard Web Pages:

Websites > SEO > Meta Titles and Tags
